It's a technical fault — and technical faults are correctable. Newton Cricket is a 1-on-1 batting performance correction system for serious players. Most faults are diagnosed in a single session.
You'll leave knowing exactly what's wrong — whether you book again or not. Or call 082 817 8677.

Every dismissal pattern has a technical root cause. Pick the one you keep seeing on Saturdays.
The Precision Batting System
Throwdowns and encouragement don't fix a technical fault — they groove it deeper. Every player here moves through the same four-stage process.
Find the actual cause of the dismissal pattern — contact point, head position, weight transfer, decision timing. On video.
A specific technical fix, drilled 1-on-1 with bowling machine precision. One fault at a time. No noise.
Volume under supervision until the correction holds without thinking. Where every self-coached fix falls apart.
Match-speed scenarios that prove the fix survives pressure — so it shows up on Saturday, not just in the nets.
Track record
N. Timmers and R. Herrmann both came through Newton Cricket's correction system before signing professional SA20 contracts.
Jared Newton played semi-professionally in South Africa and professionally in England, then spent two years developing cricket across Europe before opening the academy in 2015.
1-on-1 Coaching
Every player starts with an assessment. From there, you'll know exactly what needs fixing and how long it should take.
Single sessions: R500 for new players. First session is paid upfront to confirm the booking — slots are limited and treated seriously on both sides.
How to find us
No signage. No shopfront. No reception desk. Just an unmarked grey metal door under the grandstand at Ruimsig Athletics Stadium — and behind it, one of the best-equipped private batting facilities on the West Rand.
We spend on what makes batters better, not on what makes the entrance pretty.
Newton Cricket Diagnostic Series
The same diagnostic frameworks used in the nets, written up so any player anywhere in the world can find their fault and fix it.
The most common cause of repeat dismissals, broken down: the Contact Gate, the Decision Window, the Collapse Point — and the exact corrections for each.
Why hard swings produce soft hits: the Bat Speed Leak, the Transfer Sequence, and the Power Chain that turns the same swing into real distance.
Questions parents ask
Juniors through to adult club players. The system works the same at every level — faults are just easier to fix the earlier they're caught. If your child is serious about their cricket, they're the right level.
The player bats, Jared watches and films, and by the end you'll know the specific technical cause of the pattern you've been seeing — and whether it's worth booking sessions to fix it. No obligation either way.
Most single faults hold within 4–8 sessions. You'll get an honest estimate at the assessment — and if something isn't fixable in the nets, you'll be told that too.
Bookings run through WhatsApp on 082 817 8677. New players pay their first session upfront to confirm the slot (EFT to Capitec). Cancellations inside 24 hours are charged — the slot was held for you.
Correct — you can't. We're behind the unmarked grey door under the main grandstand. See "Look for the grey door" above, or WhatsApp when you arrive and you'll be let in.
